Crimson Peak by Guillermo Del Toro is set in 1901 New York and England. The mood is chilling, dark and otherworldly. In my collection, Edith Beware, I tried to capture the emotions of Edith in the poignant moments of her life. Her story has center stage in this gothic tale. The period is 1901 but there are still elements of the 1890s fashion showing through. To exaggerate features and emphasize certain characteristics of the period, some liberties were taken with the overall aesthetic.
